Divers love manta rays, but most of us can’t tell one from another, and are just grateful to get to see the odd one every now and then. Dr Andrea Marshall exists on another plane of manta-spotting altogether. She arrives in London from her base in Mozambique to talk about her ground-breaking work with the 700 rays she has so far recorded, identified and got to know personally from their distinctive markings.
